Eckbert is on the road again!!

This time to Thailand!
Had 3 seats to stretch out on the flight to Bangkok plus fancy slippers..

Getting form the airport to the hostel via Skytrain, MRT etc. is pretty much idiot-proof (and cheap as well). But walking from the station to the hostel took about 15 min. which doesn't sound like a lot but at 34°C it is quite a distance.
Enjoyed my first Thai beer on the terrace...

 

The next morning. Absolutely fascinated by the true genius that organized the power cables..

And on our way to see the Palace with Christina, Ditte and Jurjen. Of course I forgot to bring long pants and a long arm shirt, so I had to rent some. Cool thing is, you really get your money back after you returned the clothes. The Palace was beautiful but crowded with tourists.

After that we went to the weekend market. Apparently the biggest market in south-east Asia. Let just say it was super huge.. and crowded... and hot... and they sold puppies in mini cages... :(
Today I went to the bus terminal to book a ticket to Koh Tao.I'll go by train to Chumphon then with a bus to the ferry and with a night boat to Koh Tao. Well, at least that's the plan in theory. Can't wait to find out how reality will be.
